Please come back

by Andrew White

Please come back to me. You’ve been away from me for so long now. I miss you. It’s too hard.

I come here every day. Is there any sense of time or continuity where you are? I feel like I spend most of my life here, waiting. Talking to you. I’m holding your hand, can you feel that?

I don’t even know if you can hear me. The nurses say you can hear me. In films, they always hear you. Am I there too, in your dream life? Maybe this will reach you as a TV program instead, or something written in a magazine. Maybe you’ll think that this message is not for you.

It is for you. Please don’t ignore it.

Please try, for me, to wake up.

Andrew White is from London and works as a psychologist.
