I used to be a ghost on a ghost train, but what with the economy being the way it is, I got fired. And to make things worse, it’s spring. I hate spring. All that sunlight, the promise in the air, bleating lambs. Eugh. Gives me the shivers. Bring back winter I say. I love the cold dark nights, especially Halloween. It’s my favourite day of the year, all that superstition and mischief. Beautiful stuff. But I digress, where was I? Ah yes, fired from the ghost train. They suggested I try the haunted house but they’re already full and with health and safety being what it is these days, they just couldn’t squeeze in one more. There are jobs going of course and I am applying to them. So it’s not exactly like I’m just floating around doing nothing, but still, it’s been a month and nada. I did have an interview to be a magician’s assistant, but they turned me down, said my performance was insubstantial. Can you believe it?
