I dreamed and in my dream
Women were throwing their underwear at me.
Not a nice dream,
Not nice at all.
Nothing you could have called lingerie,
Vast cups and grandma knickers,
And the way it was thrown,
More like a stoning.
I felt less adored than accused.

There is a lot said here in a few words.
How often do we see those who were once lauded, later pilloried by their ‘fans’. Almost as if the heroes have been found to have feet of clay after all.
