The Pygmy Giant

Hi guys,

We’ve been having a think, and since this is a unique place on the web exclusively for UK writing, we have decided we’d like to try and show off our roots a little more.

The UK is full of little regions with their own history. We’re all from somewhere, and that’s what we want to reflect and share with the rest of the world.

That’s why, from now on, we will only be accepting pieces written in a local dialect. It could be Bristolian, North Yorkshire, Glaswegian or Scouse – whatever your local flavour, we want to hear it.

Leading by example, my editorials will also now reflect my native tongue.

Praps at first ee’ll fink I’se a roight mentalist, but later on ee’ll be fankin I, cos this ‘ere Pygmy Giant, ee’ll be like, proper unique, mind.
