Even Now

And I confess that sometimes
I wish she still covered me

with her light linen dress,
that she stroked my head
and danced backwards

over the rainbow,
spool winding a whole childhood
back around.

    made me think of my mother and how she stroked my forehead to sleep..beautiful writing.
